Demos would be good. I'd probably buy a lot more apps if I could give it a quick run or even if there was a little video clip showing it in action. That would be cool.

I don't regret Crash Bandicoot *at all*, but Super Monkey Ball is a little frustrating as I cannot get past level 7 for love nor money :D

I too have purchased Crash Bandicoot and Super Monkey Ball and I have to say I find them both insanely boring. The controls are too sensitive in Super Monkey Ball and Crash Bandicoot got boring after the first round. I think the Application store really needs some sort of demo so I can try before I buy. I'll definitely be reading more reviews before I buy something there next time :/

Regarding the clip, I was at the midnight launch here in Auckland, New Zealand and Vodafone (the iPhone carrier over here) has no activation problems. I suppose our volume is a little less than the rest of the world (and we got in first). :)

All the fun is taken out of things when it isn't a smooth run, isn't it? :( I hope you get to play with your new 3G soon.

I have decided that if I do go for the iPhone then it'll be August or September. I want to see if Apple release anything else I will salivate over by then - and one would *hope* that there will be no supply problems then!

Thanks for the YouTube clip Sam - it was mayhem! I had a bricked first gen iPhone and I haven't even touched my new 3G phone (No time yet to enjoy it!).

Software 2.0 installed on Touch and working fine, but MobileMe is not working yet. Just added a calendar item on the Touch and nothing appearing anywhere else! Perhaps I have a little more tinkering to do...
