I've been hearing people on Twitter say that 2.1 is what the iPhone should have shipped with in the first place as it's completely solid. I've got a solid 5 bar 3G signal here at home since the 2.1 (not sure what it was before, didn't try it more than once) so it's great and very speedy. No problems with 2.1 here either, Scott. Oh, I would really urge you to go for the iPhone. When the 3G was released in July I tried many times to get one, but o2 stores were selling out as soon as they came in. Because of the disappointment in waiting I had talked myself out of the idea for a while. But once I found out I could get one straight away by calling the o2 upgrades line then there was nothing stopping me from going for one. Let me know what you decide to do :D Hey PJ! I've been trying to convince myself not to get an iPhone since they came out, but I still want one. This week Carphone Warehouse persuaded me to upgrade to a Samsung Tocco F480, which is basically an iPhone imitator. It's gold, and pretty, and all, but I can't justify keeping it, especially for £25/month for 18 months. It has iSync support so it's not completely ignoring mac users, but it won't sync with iTunes, so it can't replace my iPod. Though it has a 5mp camera, the resulting pics were complete crud. Plus, it's not an iPhone. So I'm sending it back today, and will seriously think about joining the iPhone club. Congrats on your new buddy.
