It may have been purely coincidental, Kenneth, for things to stop working after the iLife bundle update. I had various plugins in iPhoto which may have been causing things to stop working as intended.

I have deleted the FlickrExport plugin on your recommendation, Chris, and iPhoto seems to be far snappier now. I’ll wait for it to be compatible with iPhoto ’09. Thanks for your help!
