Im liking the look of the Magic Mouse,or should I maybe get a Wacom Bamboo touch and ditch a mouse completly?

Hey Katie. I hear that! My list always gets long this time of year. I don’t really *need* a new iMac, but I really want one! But, I know that if I bought one then I’d have no money left for early next year when the tablet is rumoured to arrive and no doubt I’d be kicking myself.

Patience isn’t one of my virtues so it’ll be interesting to see how long I can hold out.

My shopping list now stands at:
a new Mac
wireless keyboard, Magic Mouse
pair of Sennheiser HD 228s
Wacom Bamboo Pen/Touch pad
a book titled Mac OSX for Photographers

…alas, my bank balance sucks somewhat ;_; unless I find a grand (or better, a job offer) down the back of the sofa, I suspect I’m looking at a couple of years before I get anything. On the other hand, of course, I will be looking at an *even better* Mac when I do have the cash!

I’ve heard reports the Magic Mouse doesn’t fit in the hand too well as it’s so slimline. Saying that though, neither did the Mighty Mouse, so we’ll see how it goes!

It really does look like space-age technology. Looks like my Family Guy mousemat could finally be retired when Magic Mouse arrives.

I ordered the Magic Mouse as soon as the store came online as well. I keep looking at my wireless Mighty Mouse with disgust, as the scroll ball gummed up again right after I purchased the Magic Mouse.

I think it knows that it’s being replaced. (And we certainly know it stopped trying to “save the day” long ago)

All in all, I am very excited for my piece of space-age technology to arrive. (Seriously, it looks like it is from the new Star Trek movie, which Apple conveniently has on the screens of the new iMacs!)

The Remote isn’t an absolute necessity for me right now, but I would like to replace mine which has got a bit scratched on the back with wear and tear. The fact that it’s more iMac like in it’s design is attractive.

I’m *always* with remote in hand which is useful if I have a phonecall to take and I’m not right beside my iMac. I never use the keyboard for volume control.

I think the new mouse looks amazingly gorgeous, it just worries me that because it’s a newish technology, that things will go disastrously wrong. I’ve bought many computer mouses in the past and I’ve hated some of them.
The new Magic Mouse is pretty expensive so I really want to wait until I read your (and others) reviews of it once you’ve been using it for a while.

Personally, I think the new remote is ugly. I really don’t like the design of it, plus I think it’s a little pointless. My Macs are in front of me whenever I’m using them so controlling my music/media via the mouse/keyboard is the obvious choice. I guess if you have a Mac connected to a TV it would be worthwile?

The new iMacs look amazing, the new MacBook looks gorgeous and as for the rest, it doesn’t really interest me.
I look forward to reading your reviews of the mouse when you get it
