Hi Dean,

I’ve had the Magic Mouse for 6 days and it’s on 73% battery now. If I recall correctly, that’s dropped a little faster than I remember the Mighty Mouse dropping when I first bought it – and the batteries Apple provide usually last a lot longer than the ones I use. My Mighty Mouse also used to lose power quickly when it got to around 30%.

Bluetooth connection has been fine. Haven’t had any of that slow jittery tracking that I’d get sometimes with Mighty.

sounds great! How does it do for battery life and Bluetooth connection. My mighty loses power shockingly quickly after about 40% and drops Bluetooth as well. Hopefully, both are cured in the magic!

Cheers Matthew. I looked at the Bamboo Touch a few weeks ago as I love all that touchy/feely technology now, thanks to the iPhone.

Hi Wayne Oooh, pinching would be great. I must admit I tried that yesterday on the Magic Mouse – I am so spoilt by it on the iPhone that I wrongly assumed it was a Magic Mouse feature. That would be nice to see on this.

I wanted to order a Magic Mouse when Apple announced them but really didn’t like the Mighty Mouse so thought I’d hold out for a couple weeks to see what ppl thought of them.

Glad your liking it and i’ll see how it goes for you over the next few weeks and get myself one then.

I’m hoping that after 10.6.2 there will be even more functionality to it, maybe pinch

Sweet review as ever. Im so torn between a Magic Mouse and a Bamboo Touch. i think the Bamboo might be a better long-term RSI-beating option.

Cheers Tom. I didn’t really want to write about the mouse so quickly as it’s impossible to adjust to something so quick and give an honest review about whether I could see myself sticking with it when I’ve only used it for one hour. Haha yeah, it might feel weird but it’s for Apple so who cares if we get RSI, right

Hi Katya. Cheers. Have you got the Magic Mouse yet or are you considering it? I’m hearing lots of reports on Twitter about how many found it hard to adjust on the first day, but are loving it now.

Really good writeup Sam, enjoyed that. You probably know my worries about the Magic Mouse. I’ll get used to the swiping and scrolling no bother, it’s how low profile the thing is that worries me.

But it is Apple, I guess I can re-mold my hand

last tuesday I bought an iMac 21,5″ with ATI radeon and it’s gorgeous.

And the Magic Mouse (mm, like the mighty) is sweet.

I mean, it does few things but boy it works so nice. At the beginning I was skeptical for the multi touch scrool but now I love it.

It’s not a “pro” mouse that does all type of things (anyway at the moment I put exposè on right-click) but I think is very Apple like: do few things but do them right.
