Picture it; I’m on my Mac and a friend posts a link on Twitter to their Flickr photo, from their iPhone. I click the link, Flickr opens up in the mobile version on my Mac. Ugh. I either close the tab or go into the address bar to change http://m.flickr.com to http://flickr.com. That’s a lot of messing around, right?

Thankfully those clever people at Junecloud have also experienced the same annoyance and have created a solution: Demobilizer, an extension for Safari.

Demobilizer takes mobile web pages and automatically redirects them to the full site. For example, m.flickr.com is redirected to www.flickr.com, and m.youtube.com is redirected to www.youtube.com. This can be pretty useful if you like to bookmark or Instapaper pages on your phone, then view them on your computer later. It’s also helpful when someone posts a link to a mobile site but you’re viewing it on your computer.
