Last year I took a walk around my neighbourhood and my phone started alerting me to wireless networks in the vicinity. I noticed that generally people had kept the default name of the router, such as Linksys, Belkin, BTHomeHub and that kind of thing. If anyone picks mine up then they’ll see fruitbytes - I like to give my network a unique name ;) What’s yours called?

  1. My wireless network is comprised of two AirPort Express routers, so I call mine MacGeek Express. :)

    I have…

AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express (creative, huh?), grahamgilbert.com (free advertising ftw).

Previous routers have included ButtMonkey, Son of ButtMonkey, Happy Happy Joy Joy, Magical Interweb Device and I’m a piece of crap that never works.

I call mine macnet, it seems really geeky now but since my devices know it now if i had to change it, it’d take me ages lol. But I wouldn’t mind a better name.
