A large high street (and online) department store, John Lewis, started their sales early by launching their online sale at 6pm this evening. With the promise of some items having a 50% discount you can imagine that their site would be gridlocked for some time. Even now almost 3 hours later the site is still being sluggish to respond. However, some good deals were found and there’s one I wanted to pass on to any UK readers who may be hoping to pick up an Apple bargain this Christmas.

On the Apple Store you would pay £1,271.00 for the entry level MacBook Air 1.6GHz with 2GB Memory, but hop on over to John Lewis now and you can pick up that same MacBook Air for just £899 - a massive saving of £372! Stock levels at the time of writing indicate that they have more than 10 in stock. By buying your Mac at John Lewis you’ll also get a 2 year guarantee instead of the usual 1 year direct from Apple, which is pretty good.

Have a safe and Merry Christmas, everyone :)
