Apple Store is coming…to toon!
After many years of waiting and wondering why there is no Apple Store in the great British city of Newcastle upon Tyne, yesterday we found out that the wait is (almost) finally over. Apple Store is coming to toon! It will be opening Spring 2010 in Eldon Square South, which is currently under construction.

Apple now have job opportunities listed for the Newcastle store on their website.
I’m very excited about the new store. Finally no more ordering online and waiting days for shiny things to arrive via UPS – just a very short journey into the city centre instead to pick things up as and when I want need them. Thank you, Apple, for making this Geordie Geek very, very happy.

I wish I was more excited about the location of the store than I am. It’s great that there’s finally going to be one up here, but I hate Eldon Square with a passion. Too many chavs
Oh well, at least it’ll ensure I don’t spend all of my waking hours inside it and might actually just go when I need something as opposed to want

Haha i know what you mean! its in the new Eldon and by the looks of some of the shops the price may be out some of the chavs ranges.

Why can they not hurry up with it!?! I got my ipod touch last year for christmas and in November this year it broke i installed the new software like they told me and it destroyed the ipod how do i get a refund if i dont have a repair ID?

I’m so pleased that Apple are opening a store in Newcastle, and in Eldon Square instead of the Metrocentre, I’ve got to disagree, from my experience the Metrocentre has far more Chavs then Eldon Square, plus the Metrocentre is harder to get to unless you have a car, even then it’s still harder with all the traffic on the A1.
Yay, Apple.
BTW, the opening date is 16th February.
